Who am I?

Hey, I’m Preslav. Welcome to SEO Automata.

This is where I write about technical SEO, automation, and the things I find while messing around with search, websites, data, scripts, and whatever problem I happen to be digging into at the time.

I’ve never been a big fan of doing things manually just because that’s how they’ve always been done. A lot of SEO work is repetitive, and once you start working with bigger sites or larger datasets, that repetition gets boring fast.

So I automate as much of it as I can.

Sometimes that means a Python script. Sometimes it’s a small tool, a scraper, a workflow, or something held together with APIs and a few questionable decisions. As long as it saves time and does the job, I’m interested.

I’m also much more interested in how things work than in whatever SEO topic happens to be popular this week. Crawling, indexing, site architecture, data processing, search behavior, weird edge cases. That’s the stuff I tend to spend my time on.

This site is mostly a place to document what I learn along the way.

My Drive

I’d describe myself as a tech-first SEO.

A lot of what I do starts with a question or a problem. I test things, look at the data, build something when I need to, break it, fix it, and usually end up learning something useful in the process.

The “Automata” part of the name comes from that.

I build scripts and small systems for SEO work that would otherwise take too much time to do by hand. Processing large files, collecting data, checking pages, combining different sources, running repetitive tasks.

I’ll try to keep the writing straightforward. Technical SEO already has enough terminology without making it harder than it needs to be.

Why I Love Automation?

Mostly because I don’t enjoy wasting time.

There are plenty of SEO tasks where sitting in front of a spreadsheet for three hours makes no sense when a short script can handle the same thing.

I’d rather build the script once and keep using it.

That leaves more time for testing ideas, looking through the results, finding problems, or working on something that needs more thought than copying data from one place to another.

That’s really the whole idea behind SEO Automata.

Build useful things. Test stuff. Keep learning.
